Here we have a vintage sign commemorating Frontier Town. The sign is made out of cardstock and features a great Country-Western styled font. This sign would look great in a Western themed children’s room, a rustic camping home or even as a part of a travel themed collection.
Founded by in 1952, the park featured attractions like a Pioneer Village, Prairie Junction, an Indian Village, a rodeo arena, and a narrow-gauge railroad. It brought steady crowds to the Adirondack Mountains until the mid-1980s when waning interest in Westerns and competition from larger theme parks caused its decline. Reopened as a state-run park in 2018, it now offers campsites, picnic areas, and trails for biking and horseback riding.
Condition:
This sign is in decent vintage condition, considering its age and that it's made out of a heavy cardstock paper. It does show some wear. Most notably, the upper left corner is torn and there is a hole by the "R."
Size:
The sign measures about 21.5 inches long and 4.5 inches wide.
