Buddy L Toy Sit-N-Ride Extension Ladder Rider Fire Truck

Up for sale is a vintage Buddy L toy Sit-N-Ride Extension Ladder Rider Fire Truck. This vintage pressed steel fire engine was manufactured by the Buddy L Toy Company out of East Moline, Illinois and dates to the late 1940s or early 1950s. It was model No. 811 in the vintage toy catalogs. It would have originally had a seat attached to the trailer for children to sit on and use their legs to scoot around.

This truck would look great in a collection of other vintage toys, as display or to play with in a child's room, or as farmhouse and country decor.

Condition:

This toy fire truck is in decent vintage condition for its age and has some nice character, patina, and wear to the paint. It is missing a few pieces including the ladders that would have been attached to the sides, the seat, and the left headlight. It does, however, come with the often-lost handle. It'd be a good restoration candidate or decor piece.

Measures about about 6 inches tall, 17 inches long, and 6.25 inches wide.
