The Argoflex Seventy-Five, produced by Argus from 1949 to 1964, is a modified Twin Lens Reflex (TLR)-style box camera known for its large, bright waist-level viewfinder. This is the earlier version, featuring the full Argoflex Seventy-Five name on the front. While marketed as a simplified TLR, it functions much like a box camera, offering an easy-to-use design with thoughtful features.

It has double exposure prevention, ensuring the shutter won’t fire until the film is advanced, with a red dot indicator appearing in the lens when it’s ready. The 75mm fixed-focus lens operates at approximately 1/50th of a second with an f/11 aperture. The camera offers Instant and Time (Bulb) settings, with the earliest versions placing the Time setting above Instant.

This camera is a fantastic decor piece for a film-inspired space, travel-themed room, or vintage den. It would also make a unique accent in a restaurant, photography studio, or collector’s display. Whether showcased on a shelf, incorporated into an antique vignette, or used as a nostalgic conversation starter, its classic design and historical significance make it a standout piece.

Condition:

The camera is in great physical condition with just a little wear overall. It is untested.
